Orchard and Fruit Tree Record
Keep a history for every tree, so the one that never crops and the one that carries the whole harvest are both on paper rather than in your head.

A free printable blossom and frost record: the date each variety reached each bud stage, readings on cold nights, and blossoms cut open to count frost damage.

Judge frost risk and losses on your own trees, at the stage they have actually reached. Each cold night and the damage check after it sit on the same page.
Fruit growers, orchard keepers and allotment holders with apples, pears, plums or cherries.

Printed under the title: The date each variety reached each bud stage, your own readings on every cold night, and the blossoms cut open afterwards, so frost risk and losses are judged on your own trees.
Your stage, your readings, their table. How much cold a blossom survives depends on the fruit, the variety and the stage it has reached. No critical temperatures are printed: copy them from the table your advisory service publishes, and take readings on your own site at blossom height, not from a distant weather station.

Because they differ by fruit, variety and stage, and advisory tables are revised. Copy the current figures from the table your advisory service publishes and write which table you used at the top of the sheet.
Cold air settles in hollows and low spots, so a weather station a few miles away can read very differently from your trees. A thermometer at blossom height on your own site gives the reading the damage check should be compared with.
Keep a history for every tree, so the one that never crops and the one that carries the whole harvest are both on paper rather than in your head.
Keep the details that vanish with the label — variety, rootstock and planting year — and build a pruning and cropping history alongside them.
Read the start of a pest flight off your own counts instead of guessing it. Empty checks are written down too, because a run of zeros is what dates the first catch.
Turn a season of odd handfuls and full trugs into one running total per crop, so next year's planting is decided by what the plot produced rather than by memory.
