What this sheet is for
Track water quality and temperature for animals that are unusually sensitive to both, with the physical signs recorded alongside.

How to use it
- Record temperature every time; heat is the commonest serious problem.
- Test water as you would for fish, and record it here rather than separately.
- Note gill and skin condition — they change before behaviour does.
- Plan a summer cooling method before summer.
What is on the sheet
The layout is fixed at a size that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the A4 and Letter files are visually identical and print at full size on either. Rows are set at a height that an adult can actually write a date and a few words into with a pen — most printable tables are built in a word processor and never tested with one.
Questions
What temperature should an axolotl be kept at?
No figure is printed. The safe range is narrow and species-specific, and warmth is a genuine danger rather than a preference. Get the figure from a specialist source and write it at the top of the sheet.
Which vet should I use?
One with genuine exotics or aquatic experience, found before you need them. The sheet has a line for the practice for exactly that reason.
