The same sheet, on screen. Tick, type, add or remove rows, then print it or download the completed version as a PDF. Everything stays in your browser — your entries are kept in this browser's own storage on this device, nothing is uploaded, and there is no account.
Everything in the bag before you leave. Work through the list the night before and again in the morning, so the number, the chip, the right shoes and the food for afterwards all make it to the start.
Anyone entering a run, ride, swim, triathlon or other event, whether it is a first local race or one of many in a season, and anyone who has turned up without a safety pin before.
The printable is laid out inside a box that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the two files are identical and neither one is scaled. The fillable PDF has real form fields. The online version keeps what you enter in your own browser and builds the completed PDF on your device.
Download the A4 or US Letter file to match the paper in your printer, open it in a PDF reader and print at 100% — not "fit to page", which shrinks the writing space. Both files leave a 14 mm margin, which clears the unprintable edge on home printers. To print the online version with your entries in it, use the Print this sheet button, which prints only the sheet and none of the page around it. More on printing.
It is written to work for any of them, so some items will not apply to you. Strike out what you do not need and use the blank lines for sport-specific kit, such as a wetsuit, a helmet or a spare inner tube.
Packing the night before catches missing items while there is still time to find them. A quick second look in the morning catches the things taken back out, such as a phone on charge or a bottle in the fridge.
Yes. In the browser version you can add your own items to each section, and it saves in your own browser, so the list is ready for the next event.
No. The nutrition section is a packing list for whatever you have chosen to take. What and how much is your decision, based on what has worked for you in training.
Every event you are considering, entered or have finished, in date order.
Every session with its discipline, distance and time.
Each pair: model, date bought, price and whether it is in use or retired.
Printable sheets, workbooks and tools on the same subject.
Keep a season of entries in one place, so nothing is entered twice, nothing is forgotten and the real cost of a year of racing is visible at the foot.
See what you actually own and what a year of kit costs, including the shoes and consumables that quietly go through faster than anything else.
Every sheet, binder, game and puzzle on Upkeep Papers is free to download, with no email and no account. Making them is not free: each one takes days of research, design and checking, and the site costs money to run. If something here saved you time, you can buy us a coffee. It is entirely optional: nothing is locked, and nothing changes if you don’t.
