Free shared house cleaning rota — the jobs, whose turn it is, the day, a tick and initials, with what the house agreed. PDF and browser versions.
One page. The A4 and US Letter files are laid out identically, so neither is shrunk to fit.

The same sheet, on screen. Tick, type, add or remove rows, then print it or download the completed version as a PDF. Everything stays in your browser — your entries are kept in this browser's own storage on this device, nothing is uploaded, and there is no account.
The rota a flat-share can point at. Each job has an area, whose turn it is, a day, a tick and a set of initials, and the agreement itself is written at the top by the people who made it.
Flat-shares, student houses, houses of multiple occupation and any household where the washing up has become a conversation.
The printable is laid out inside a box that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the two files are identical and neither one is scaled. The fillable PDF has real form fields. The online version keeps what you enter in your own browser and builds the completed PDF on your device.
Download the A4 or US Letter file to match the paper in your printer, open it in a PDF reader and print at 100% — not "fit to page", which shrinks the writing space. Both files leave a 14 mm margin, which clears the unprintable edge on home printers. To print the online version with your entries in it, use the Print this sheet button, which prints only the sheet and none of the page around it. More on printing.
However the house agrees. The sheet records the arrangement rather than imposing one, because a rota someone else wrote is the first thing a shared house ignores.
The sheet gives you a dated, initialled record instead of a disagreement about who did what. What happens next is between the housemates, or with the landlord or agent if it is in the tenancy.
There is a row for restocking them, and the notes are the place to record who bought what. Some houses keep a separate list for the money side.
Yes. Keep the rows the cleaner covers marked in the notes and use the rota for everything between visits. The jobs a house still owns are usually the ones that cause the friction.
What is being washed on each day of the week, and by whom.
Which chores fall on which day, so the week is not front-loaded.
Which room is cleaned on which day, agreed once and written down.
Printable sheets, workbooks and tools on the same subject.
Split the jobs between everyone in the house before the month starts, so the question of whose turn it is has already been answered in writing.
Hold your own weekly routine on one page and see what has actually been done. The jobs are yours to write in; the grid is the part worth printing.
Every sheet, binder, game and puzzle on Upkeep Papers is free to download, with no email and no account. Making them is not free: each one takes days of research, design and checking, and the site costs money to run. If something here saved you time, you can buy us a coffee. It is entirely optional: nothing is locked, and nothing changes if you don’t.
Opens PayPal in a new tab. Any amount, and nothing changes if you would rather not.
