A free printable call point test record — a numbered register of the call points on site, then a row per test: point used, whether it sounded, panel reset, faults and tester.
One page. Choose your paper size — both versions are laid out identically, so neither one gets shrunk to fit.
Print it and write on it
Fill it in type and save
The fillable versions have real form fields — open them in any PDF reader, type into them and save. Printing help.
Show that the call points are being worked through in turn rather than the same convenient one being used every time.
Small employers, shops, pubs, halls, care settings and anyone whose site routine includes testing the fire alarm from a call point.
One page, top to bottom:
Printed under the title: The call points numbered once, then a row for each test: which point was used, whether it sounded, and that the panel was reset.
Take them in turn. Number the points in the register and take them in turn, so the log shows which one came round when. The routine itself is yours to set.

Because that is set by your own routine, your alarm's documentation and the rules where you are. The sheet gives you a dated row each time you test; the frequency is yours to decide and yours to state.
That log records the test itself in general terms. This one is built around the call points: each is numbered in the register, so the log shows which came round when and which has not been used for a while.
If your alarm is monitored, or people in the building would react to it, it is worth telling them first. There is a faults and notes column to record what you did.
Record routine alarm tests including which call point was used, so one faulty device does not sit untested for a year.
Record a drill in a way that captures what went badly, which is the only part that makes the next one better.
Catch the things that go wrong quietly between services — a sign gone, a blocked exit, a wedged fire door — by walking the building and ticking as you go.
Keep a dated history of emergency lighting tests with the failures and repairs recorded beside them, not just a note that a test happened.
