What this sheet is for

Check that what the delivery platforms paid matches what they took, order by order, so a missing payout or an unexplained refund is caught in the period it happened.

Who it is for

Restaurant, takeaway and pub kitchen owners and managers selling through one or more delivery apps or aggregators.

How to use it

  1. Write each order from the tablet as it comes in: platform, reference and value.
  2. Add the commission and fees from your own contract rate, and any refund the platform applied.
  3. When the statement arrives, tick each order that appears on it and note any that do not.
  4. Total each platform in the lower table and write the difference against what was paid.
  5. Raise anything unexplained with the platform and note the date you did.

What is on the sheet

One page, top to bottom:

Printed under the title: Orders taken through delivery apps, listed from the tablet as they come in, then matched line by line to the platform's own statement: gross, deductions, refunds and what reached the bank. Commission is your own contract rate and is written beside each order, not printed here.

Write-on lines: Venue · Period (from / to) · Platforms in use

Questions

Why does the sheet not work out the commission for me?

Because every platform charges a different rate and every venue has its own contract, sometimes with promotions and fees on top. The column is there for the deduction as your contract sets it, so the net can be checked against the statement rather than assumed.
