What this sheet is for

Stop a season being derailed by a lapsed licence or a missed entry deadline, by keeping the paperwork and the calendar on one page.

Who it is for

Competitors, entrants and the family member or team manager who does the paperwork for a club racer, hillclimber, rallyist or kart driver.

How to use it

  1. List every licence, medical and membership you hold, with who issued it and when it expires.
  2. Note the date you sent each renewal, so a delay is noticed before the season starts.
  3. Add a row for each event as you enter it: entry sent, fee paid, confirmation received.
  4. Fill in the result and points after the event, so the season is on one sheet.

What is on the sheet

One page, top to bottom:

Printed under the title: The paperwork side of competing: licences, memberships and medicals with their expiry dates, and every event entry with its fee, confirmation and result.

Your governing body sets the rules. What licence, medical or membership an event needs is set by your governing body and each event's own regulations — check the regs every time. This sheet records what you hold and when it runs out; it does not say what you need.

Questions

Does this tell me which licence I need?

No. That is set by your governing body, your championship and each event's own supplementary regulations, and it changes. This sheet records what you hold and when it runs out — check the regs for every event you enter.

Why keep entries and licences on the same sheet?

Because an entry is only valid with the right paperwork behind it, and the moment you send an entry is the moment to check the licence will still be in date on the day. Seeing both together makes that check automatic.
