Breakfast Order and Dietary Sheet

A free printable bed and breakfast order sheet — tomorrow's breakfast taken room by room, with times, hot choices, drinks and any dietary note as the guest gave it.

What this sheet is for

Get the kitchen a single list the night before, so the first pan goes on knowing who is eating, when, and what one guest cannot have.

Who it is for

Bed and breakfast owners, guest houses and small hotels where breakfast is taken to order rather than from a buffet.

How to use it

  1. Fill in the date and who is cooking, then take orders room by room in the evening.
  2. Use one row per guest where the people in a room have chosen differently.
  3. Write dietary notes in the guest's own words and read them back.
  4. Hand the sheet to the kitchen and note the time it went across.
  5. Tick each order as it is served, so a missed table is spotted before the guest asks.

What is on the sheet

One page, top to bottom:

Printed under the title: Tomorrow's breakfast, taken room by room the evening before — who is eating, when, what they have chosen and anything the kitchen has to know before the first pan goes on.

Take it down as the guest said it. Write dietary notes exactly as the guest gave them and pass this sheet to whoever is cooking. It records what was asked for; which ingredients are in which dish is a matter for your own allergen record, not this list.

Questions

Why is there no menu printed on the sheet?

Because every house cooks something different. The hot choice column takes whatever is on your own menu, so the sheet does not go out of date when the menu changes.

Does this replace an allergen record?

No. This records what the guest asked for and told you. Which dishes contain which allergens is a separate record that belongs to the kitchen; the two are used together.
