What this sheet is for

Record what struck and what did not, so your own conditions become the reference instead of a general table.

Who it is for

Gardeners taking cuttings, nurseries, plant societies and anyone propagating to sell or to swap.

How to use it

  1. Write the batch number on the tray label in pencil as well as here.
  2. Record the parent plant well enough that you can go back to it.
  3. Count what struck honestly and write the number, not an impression.
  4. Note the best results at the end of the year — that is the sheet's whole payoff.

What is on the sheet

The layout is fixed at a size that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the A4 and Letter files are visually identical and print at full size on either. Rows are set at a height that an adult can actually write a date and a few words into with a pen — most printable tables are built in a word processor and never tested with one.

Questions

Why no rooting times or hormone guidance?

Because they differ by plant, by season and by how you keep them, and the reason to keep a propagation record is to learn what works where you are. After two seasons your own sheet beats any general table.
