One line per plant, with the dates that matter. Record where each plant lives, when it was last watered, fed, repotted and pruned, and how it is doing, so the care it gets is based on a date and not on a guess.
Houseplant owners with more pots than they can keep in their head, anyone looking after plants for someone else, and gardeners with containers, a greenhouse or a conservatory.
The printable is laid out inside a box that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the two files are identical and neither one is scaled. The fillable PDF has real form fields. The online version keeps what you enter in your own browser and builds the completed PDF on your device.
Download the A4 or US Letter file to match the paper in your printer, open it in a PDF reader and print at 100% — not "fit to page", which shrinks the writing space. Both files leave a 14 mm margin, which clears the unprintable edge on home printers. To print the online version with your entries in it, use the Print this sheet button, which prints only the sheet and none of the page around it. More on printing.
That depends on the plant, the pot, the room and the season, and the sheet does not say. It records the last date so that you can decide with the facts in front of you, and so a sitter can see what was done.
No. It is a snapshot — one row per plant with the most recent dates. If you want every watering recorded in sequence, the watering and irrigation schedule on this site is the running version.
Yes. Location can be anything, and containers on a patio need the same dates tracked as a plant on a windowsill. Beds are usually better on the garden calendar.
Pick from the list or write your own word. The value is in noticing that a plant has been marked 'struggling' twice running.
The jobs you have decided to do each month, in your own words.
What was sown, under cover or direct, and on which date.
The daily routine, in order and with times, so nothing is forgotten by day three.
Printable sheets, workbooks and tools on the same subject.
Set out what waters what, how, and how often, then keep a dated record through the season alongside the system checks that stop a blocked emitter going unnoticed.
Record what struck and what did not, so your own conditions become the reference instead of a general table.
Turn a greenhouse from a place things happen into a place with a record, so a bad germination or a lost crop can be traced back to the week it went wrong.
Every sheet, binder, game and puzzle on Upkeep Papers is free to download, with no email and no account. Making them is not free: each one takes days of research, design and checking, and the site costs money to run. If something here saved you time, you can buy us a coffee. It is entirely optional: nothing is locked, and nothing changes if you don’t.
Opens PayPal in a new tab. Any amount, and nothing changes if you would rather not.
