The same sheet, on screen. Totals and figures are worked out as you type, rows can be added or removed, and you can print it or download the completed version as a PDF. Everything stays in your browser — your entries are kept in this browser's own storage on this device, nothing is uploaded, and there is no account.

Who this is for

What the days out will cost before you go. Enter each tour, attraction or day trip with its adult, child and concession prices, and the sheet costs it for the people in your party, adds any transport and totals the trip.

Families and groups planning a holiday around trips and attractions, where the entry prices look small one at a time and add up to more than the flights.

What this helps you track

  • Each activity costed for your own mix of adults, children and concessions
  • Transport to and from each day out, added to its cost
  • Which activities are booked and the reference for each
  • The whole trip's activities in one total, and what that is per person
  • The days that cost most, so the plan can be balanced

How to use it

  1. Write the trip and how many adults, children and concessions are in the party.
  2. List each activity against the day you plan to do it, with where it is.
  3. Enter the adult, child and concession prices from the attraction or tour operator, and any transport cost for the whole party.
  4. Tick booked when it is paid for and write the booking reference in the same row.
  5. The cost per activity and the totals are worked out in the browser and the workbook; on paper, multiply each price by the headcount and add across.
  6. Sort or read the rows by day to see each day's spend, and move or drop activities if one day runs heavy.

Formats

  • Printable PDF (A4 and US Letter)
  • Fillable PDF with form fields
  • Fill in online, saved in your browser
  • Excel / Google Sheets workbook

The printable is laid out inside a box that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the two files are identical and neither one is scaled. The fillable PDF has real form fields. The workbook uses plain formulas only — SUM, IF, COUNTIF and the like — so it opens in Excel, LibreOffice and Google Sheets without anything breaking, and every calculated cell is grey so you can see which figures it worked out.

How to print

Download the A4 or US Letter file to match the paper in your printer, open it in a PDF reader and print at 100% — not "fit to page", which shrinks the writing space. Both files leave a 14 mm margin, which clears the unprintable edge on home printers. To print the online version with your entries in it, use the Print this sheet button, which prints only the sheet and none of the page around it. More on printing.

Questions

How does it cost each activity?

It multiplies the adult price by the number of adults in the header, the child price by the children and the concession price by the concessions, then adds the transport you entered for that row. Leave a price blank if nobody in that group is going.

What counts as a concession?

Whatever the attraction offers: students, seniors, carers or disabled visitors, for example. Age bands and eligibility vary from place to place, so enter the price and check who qualifies on each attraction's own terms.

How do I see a total for each day?

Keep one row per activity with its date. In the workbook, filter or sort by the day column and the total cost column adds up for the rows shown; on paper, add the rows that share a date.

Can I use it for a family pass or group ticket?

Yes. Put the pass price in the adult column and set the child and concession prices to zero for that row, then write family pass in the location or reference so it is clear why.
