The same sheet, on screen. Totals and figures are worked out as you type, rows can be added or removed, and you can print it or download the completed version as a PDF. Everything stays in your browser — your entries are kept in this browser's own storage on this device, nothing is uploaded, and there is no account.

Who this is for

Every rewards scheme you belong to, in one place. The activity log records points earned and redeemed with any expiry date, and the schemes table holds each one's membership number, tier and balance. Totals show what has come in and gone out, and each scheme's current balance.

Frequent travellers who belong to several airline, hotel and card reward schemes and want to stop points expiring unnoticed.

What this helps you track

  • Each scheme with its membership number and tier
  • The balance at the start and the current balance
  • Every earning and redemption, with the date
  • When batches of points are due to expire
  • The total points held across all schemes

How to use it

  1. Write the account holder and the schemes you belong to at the top.
  2. Give each scheme a line in the schemes table with its number, tier, starting balance and your own note of its expiry rule, taken from the scheme's terms.
  3. Log each earning or redemption in the activity table with the date, the scheme and the points, plus the expiry date where the scheme gives one.
  4. Now and then total each scheme's earned and redeemed points from the log into the schemes table; the current balance and summary are worked out in the browser and the workbook.
  5. Compare the current balance with the scheme's own statement and correct any gap.

Formats

  • Printable PDF (A4 and US Letter)
  • Fillable PDF with form fields
  • Fill in online, saved in your browser
  • Excel / Google Sheets workbook

The printable is laid out inside a box that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the two files are identical and neither one is scaled. The fillable PDF has real form fields. The workbook uses plain formulas only — SUM, IF, COUNTIF and the like — so it opens in Excel, LibreOffice and Google Sheets without anything breaking, and every calculated cell is grey so you can see which figures it worked out.

How to print

Download the A4 or US Letter file to match the paper in your printer, open it in a PDF reader and print at 100% — not "fit to page", which shrinks the writing space. Both files leave a 14 mm margin, which clears the unprintable edge on home printers. To print the online version with your entries in it, use the Print this sheet button, which prints only the sheet and none of the page around it. More on printing.

Questions

Can I add points from different schemes together?

The sheet does, for a rough total, but points from different schemes are not worth the same. Treat the total as a count, not a value, and judge each scheme by what its own points will buy.

Where do the expiry rules come from?

From each scheme's own terms. Rules vary, and some reset the clock whenever the account has activity. Write the rule in your own words in the schemes table and check it if the terms change.

Why keep a log if the app shows the balance?

The log shows when points were earned and when they lapse, which many apps bury. It also catches missing credits: a stay or flight you logged that never appeared on the statement can be claimed.

What about points held jointly or pooled?

Give the pooled account its own line with a note of who shares it, so the balance is not counted twice.
