The teaching week on one page. A grid of Monday to Friday against the periods your own timetable has, with a class or a lesson in each cell, and a list underneath for the marking, meetings and jobs that have to happen between them.
Class and subject teachers, teaching assistants who move between rooms, tutors and supply staff who want the week laid out before Monday rather than found out on it.
The printable is laid out inside a box that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the two files are identical and neither one is scaled. The fillable PDF has real form fields. The online version keeps what you enter in your own browser and builds the completed PDF on your device.
Download the A4 or US Letter file to match the paper in your printer, open it in a PDF reader and print at 100% — not "fit to page", which shrinks the writing space. Both files leave a 14 mm margin, which clears the unprintable edge on home printers. To print the online version with your entries in it, use the Print this sheet button, which prints only the sheet and none of the page around it. More on printing.
Use the columns you need and leave the rest blank, or write two short periods into one cell. The grid has six columns because that covers most timetables; it does not assume yours has six.
This sheet holds the class and the topic in a word or two. A lesson plan sheet is the place for objectives, resources and timings; keep the two together and the planner stays readable.
Print two sheets and label them week A and week B, or use one sheet a week and copy the fixed lessons across. The browser version saves each week you fill in.
Yes. Leave it blank, or use it for duties and cover instead. It is there because the jobs between lessons are what usually get lost.
What the lesson was meant to achieve, in your own words.
What has been collected from which class, and when.
Which topic or unit the class is on in each week of the term.
Printable sheets, workbooks and tools on the same subject.
Lay a week out as a grid using your own period times, for a class, a room or one person.
Plan one lesson on one page, with space for the two things people skip: the checking, and the plan for the students who have not got it.
Every sheet, binder, game and puzzle on Upkeep Papers is free to download, with no email and no account. Making them is not free: each one takes days of research, design and checking, and the site costs money to run. If something here saved you time, you can buy us a coffee. It is entirely optional: nothing is locked, and nothing changes if you don’t.
