Who this is for

A week of stickers, stamps or ticks on one sheet. Each pupil has a row, each day a column, a points column for whatever you count and a line at the top for the reward the class agreed on; how points are earned and what they are worth is entirely yours.

Primary and early years teachers, teaching assistants running a group, tutors and clubs — anyone who uses a visible chart and wants it printed rather than drawn on the board each Monday.

What this helps you track

  • A row per pupil and a column per day, with room for a stamp, sticker or initial
  • The points, stars or tokens each pupil has for the week, counted however you count them
  • The reward the class agreed and what it takes to reach it, in your words
  • Who has reached it, when the week ends

How to use it

  1. Write the class, the week beginning date and the reward the class agreed at the top.
  2. List the pupils down the first column, one per row; the printed sheet runs to a second page for a large class.
  3. Mark each day's column as you go, with whatever your class uses: a sticker, a stamp, a tick, an initial.
  4. Fill in the points column at the end of the week, counted however your system counts.
  5. Tick reached for pupils who got there, and hand out whatever was agreed.
  6. The browser version keeps the class list in your own browser so next week's sheet starts with the names in.

Formats

  • Printable PDF (A4 and US Letter)
  • Fillable PDF with form fields
  • Fill in online, saved in your browser

The printable is laid out inside a box that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the two files are identical and neither one is scaled. The fillable PDF has real form fields. The online version keeps what you enter in your own browser and builds the completed PDF on your device.

How to print

Download the A4 or US Letter file to match the paper in your printer, open it in a PDF reader and print at 100% — not "fit to page", which shrinks the writing space. Both files leave a 14 mm margin, which clears the unprintable edge on home printers. To print the online version with your entries in it, use the Print this sheet button, which prints only the sheet and none of the page around it. More on printing.

Questions

How many points does it take to earn the reward?

That is yours to set and to write on the sheet. Nothing is suggested here, because what works for one class is wrong for the next.

Is the points column a number?

No, it is text on purpose. Write a number, a row of stars, a colour or a word — whatever your chart already uses. The sheet does not add it up or rank the class.

Can it be a whole-class chart rather than individual?

Yes. Use one row for the whole class, or a row per table group, and the days across the top work the same way.

Should the chart be on the wall?

That is a choice for you and your school. Some teachers display it, some keep it in the desk drawer; the sheet is the same either way.
