Who this is for

A checklist with your tasks on it. Give it a title, type the items one at a time, and use it here — ticking things off as you go — or download it as a blank printable checklist in the same style as everything else on the site.

Anyone with a list that nobody sells a form for: the opening-up round at a small shop, the things to pack for a specific trip, the steps of a job only you do.

How to use it

1. Give the checklist a title and, if you like, one line saying what it is for.
2. Type each task into the box at the foot of the list and press Add. Edit any item by clicking on its text; remove one with the cross.
3. Tick items off here as you complete them — the count at the top of the list updates.
4. Print the list with the Print button, or download it as a PDF in A4 or US Letter. The PDF shows which items were ticked.
5. To hand out a blank version, download the PDF before ticking anything, or use the blank printable above.

The printable is laid out inside a box that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the two files are identical and neither one is scaled. The fillable PDF has real form fields. The online version keeps what you enter in your own browser and builds the completed PDF on your device.

How to print

Download the A4 or US Letter file to match the paper in your printer, open it in a PDF reader and print at 100% — not "fit to page", which shrinks the writing space. Both files leave a 14 mm margin, which clears the unprintable edge on home printers. To print the online version with your entries in it, use the Print this sheet button, which prints only the sheet and none of the page around it. More on printing.

Where is my list stored?

In your own browser's storage on this device. Nothing is sent to us, there is no account, and clearing your browser data removes it — so download the PDF if you want to keep a copy.

Is there a limit on items?

No fixed limit. A printed page holds around thirty short items; longer lists run onto a second page with the heading repeated.

Can I reuse the same list?

Yes. Tick everything off, or clear the ticks, and it is ready again. For a list you hand to other people, download the PDF once and print copies.

Can I use it for work?

Yes. Everything you make here is yours to print, copy and use, including commercially. The layout is ours; the words on it are yours.
