The same sheet, on screen. Totals and figures are worked out as you type, rows can be added or removed, and you can print it or download the completed version as a PDF. Everything stays in your browser — your entries are kept in this browser's own storage on this device, nothing is uploaded, and there is no account.

Who this is for

Know how many sessions you have left. Record each block of personal training you pay for and each session you use, and the tracker shows what remains, what you have paid and what each session cost.

Anyone paying a personal trainer by the block, and people sharing a block with a partner or friend who want the count to agree with the trainer's.

What this helps you track

  • Each block bought: when, how many sessions and what it cost
  • The price per session of each block
  • Every session used, what it covered and which block it came from
  • Sessions missed but still charged under your trainer's terms
  • Sessions remaining and total spent to date

How to use it

  1. Write your name, your trainer and the venue at the top.
  2. Each time you pay, add a row to the blocks table with the date, sessions in the block and the price paid.
  3. After each session, add the date, what you worked on, how long it lasted and which block it came from, and tick taken.
  4. If a session is lost under the trainer's cancellation terms, tick lost instead so it still counts against the block.
  5. Sessions remaining and cost per session are worked out in the browser and the workbook; on paper, add up the used column and take it from the sessions bought.
  6. Compare your count with the trainer's from time to time and note any difference.

Formats

  • Printable PDF (A4 and US Letter)
  • Fillable PDF with form fields
  • Fill in online, saved in your browser
  • Excel / Google Sheets workbook

The printable is laid out inside a box that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the two files are identical and neither one is scaled. The fillable PDF has real form fields. The workbook uses plain formulas only — SUM, IF, COUNTIF and the like — so it opens in Excel, LibreOffice and Google Sheets without anything breaking, and every calculated cell is grey so you can see which figures it worked out.

How to print

Download the A4 or US Letter file to match the paper in your printer, open it in a PDF reader and print at 100% — not "fit to page", which shrinks the writing space. Both files leave a 14 mm margin, which clears the unprintable edge on home printers. To print the online version with your entries in it, use the Print this sheet button, which prints only the sheet and none of the page around it. More on printing.

Questions

What counts as a used session?

Any session that comes off your block: ones you attended, and ones lost under your trainer's cancellation terms. Tick taken or lost so the used count includes both and the remaining figure matches what you are owed.

What if blocks are priced differently?

Each block row has its own price per session, and the summary shows the average across everything bought. That is useful if prices rise or you switch between single sessions and larger blocks.

Can I use it for group or shared sessions?

Yes. Record the share you paid in the blocks table and note who the session was shared with in the notes column. Agree with the others how a missed session is counted before it happens.

Is this the trainer's record?

No, it is the client's own copy. Trainers keeping records for several clients will want a client session record instead; this one is for the person paying.
