Who this is for

A month of training at a glance. Mark each day you go to the gym, do a class or train at home with a short code, count the week, and carry the monthly total onto a strip for the year.

Anyone who wants a simple visual record of how often they train, including people checking whether a membership is being used as much as they hoped.

What this helps you track

  • Which days you trained and what kind of session it was
  • How many active days in each week
  • Active days and rest days for the month
  • Month-by-month totals across the year

How to use it

  1. Write your name, the month, the year and the gym or venue.
  2. Number the days in the grid to match the month, starting on the right weekday.
  3. On each day you train, write a code in the box: G for gym, C for class, H for home, or codes of your own.
  4. Count the active days at the end of each week and write them in the last column.
  5. At the end of the month, add the weekly counts and carry the active and rest days onto the twelve-month strip.
  6. Pin it by the door, or keep the online version in your own browser.

Formats

  • Printable PDF (A4 and US Letter)
  • Fillable PDF with form fields
  • Fill in online, saved in your browser

The printable is laid out inside a box that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the two files are identical and neither one is scaled. The fillable PDF has real form fields. The online version keeps what you enter in your own browser and builds the completed PDF on your device.

How to print

Download the A4 or US Letter file to match the paper in your printer, open it in a PDF reader and print at 100% — not "fit to page", which shrinks the writing space. Both files leave a 14 mm margin, which clears the unprintable edge on home printers. To print the online version with your entries in it, use the Print this sheet button, which prints only the sheet and none of the page around it. More on printing.

Questions

How many days a week should I be training?

The calendar does not say; that depends on you, your goals and any advice you have been given. It shows what you actually did, which is useful to compare with whatever you have decided on.

What codes should I use?

Whatever suits you. G, C and H for gym, class and home are suggested, and R for a planned rest day. Write your own key beside the grid if you use more.

How do I count rest days?

Take the active days from the number of days in the month. If you want to tell planned rest from missed sessions, mark planned ones with R and count them separately.

Can I use it with a membership comparison?

Yes. A few months of attendance gives you a real visits-per-month figure to put into a membership comparison or cost per visit calculation.
