The same sheet, on screen. Totals and figures are worked out as you type, rows can be added or removed, and you can print it or download the completed version as a PDF. Everything stays in your browser — your entries are kept in this browser's own storage on this device, nothing is uploaded, and there is no account.

Who this is for

Every pledge on one sheet. Sponsors write a fixed sum, an amount per mile, lap or length, or both; once the challenge is done the sheet works out what each has pledged, what has been collected and what is still to come in before hand-in.

Walkers, runners, swimmers and cyclists raising money for a club, school or charity, and the organisers who collect the sheets and the money.

What this helps you track

  • The event, the participant and the hand-in date
  • Each sponsor's fixed pledge or amount per unit completed
  • Pledged amounts worked out from the distance actually done
  • Money collected, when, and what is still outstanding
  • Who the money was handed to, and the receipt number

How to use it

  1. Write the organisation, event, date, participant and hand-in date at the top.
  2. Ask each sponsor to write their name, a contact and either a fixed sum or an amount per unit.
  3. After the event, enter the units completed, whether miles, laps or lengths; the pledges then work out.
  4. Collect each pledge, tick paid and record the amount and date received.
  5. Hand the sheet and money in by the date given, and write who took it and the receipt number.
  6. On paper, multiply each per-unit pledge by the units done and add any fixed sum.

Formats

  • Printable PDF (A4 and US Letter)
  • Fillable PDF with form fields
  • Fill in online, saved in your browser
  • Excel / Google Sheets workbook

The printable is laid out inside a box that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the two files are identical and neither one is scaled. The fillable PDF has real form fields. The workbook uses plain formulas only — SUM, IF, COUNTIF and the like — so it opens in Excel, LibreOffice and Google Sheets without anything breaking, and every calculated cell is grey so you can see which figures it worked out.

How to print

Download the A4 or US Letter file to match the paper in your printer, open it in a PDF reader and print at 100% — not "fit to page", which shrinks the writing space. Both files leave a 14 mm margin, which clears the unprintable edge on home printers. To print the online version with your entries in it, use the Print this sheet button, which prints only the sheet and none of the page around it. More on printing.

Questions

What goes in the per-unit column?

Whatever unit your challenge uses: a mile, a kilometre, a lap or a length. Write the unit at the top so sponsors know what they are pledging against.

Can a sponsor give both a fixed sum and a per-unit amount?

Yes. The pledged column adds the fixed sum to the per-unit amount times the units completed, so either or both can be used.

Can sponsors add tax relief to their donation?

Some countries have schemes that let charities claim tax on donations, each with its own rules and forms. This sheet does not include one; ask the charity whether they use a separate form.

What if a sponsor never pays?

Leave the line unticked so it shows in the outstanding total, and tell the organiser when you hand in. They can decide whether to follow it up.
