Temporary Works Register

A free printable temporary works register — each item designed, checked, permitted to load and permitted to remove, with dates and signatures.

First page of the Temporary Works Register — Give every piece of propping, shoring, falsework or edge protection an owner and four dated signatures, so nothing is loaded or struck on an assumption.

What this sheet is for

Give every piece of propping, shoring, falsework or edge protection an owner and four dated signatures, so nothing is loaded or struck on an assumption.

Who it is for

Site managers, temporary works coordinators, small builders and anyone propping, shoring or supporting something during construction.

How to use it

  1. Register the item before it is installed, not afterwards.
  2. Record who designed it and, separately, who checked the design.
  3. Nothing gets loaded until the permit-to-load line is signed.
  4. Nothing gets struck until the permit-to-remove line is signed.
  5. Review the open items at every site meeting.

What is on the sheet

The layout is fixed at a size that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the A4 and Letter files are visually identical and print at full size on either. Rows are set at a height that an adult can actually write a date and a few words into with a pen — most printable tables are built in a word processor and never tested with one.
