What this sheet is for

Record what went on which wall so a touch-up in three years is one trip to one shop instead of an afternoon of matching.

Who it is for

Homeowners, renters making good, landlords between tenancies and decorators keeping records for customers.

How to use it

  1. Write the code from the tin, not the name on the chart.
  2. Record the finish — matt, eggshell, satin. It matters as much as the colour.
  3. Note the room and the surface: walls, ceiling, woodwork and radiators differ.
  4. Say whether there is enough left to touch up, and where it is kept.
  5. Add wallpaper and tile batch numbers at the bottom.

What is on the sheet

The layout is fixed at a size that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the A4 and Letter files are visually identical and print at full size on either. Rows are set at a height that an adult can actually write a date and a few words into with a pen — most printable tables are built in a word processor and never tested with one.
