What this sheet is for
Give a sitter the numbers and the failure procedures, so they are not guessing about a species they have never kept.
Who it is for
Keepers going away, and anyone leaving exotics with a friend, family member or sitter.
How to use it
- Copy your own husbandry figures onto it — do not make the sitter look them up.
- Put the exotics vet and the out-of-hours number at the top.
- Write the equipment failure procedure explicitly, including where the spare is.
- Say plainly which things mean ring immediately.
What is on the sheet
The layout is fixed at a size that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the A4 and Letter files are visually identical and print at full size on either. Rows are set at a height that an adult can actually write a date and a few words into with a pen — most printable tables are built in a word processor and never tested with one.

What is the most important thing to write down?
What to do when a thermostat or heater fails, and where the spare equipment is. It is the failure a sitter is most likely to meet and least likely to recognise.
