Who this is for

Every exam in the sitting on one page. Each paper has its date, start time, length, venue, seat and what you may take in, with checks for the night before and the morning itself, ready to pin above your desk.

Students facing an exam period who want the details from the official timetable copied onto a single sheet they can check at a glance.

What this helps you track

  • When and where each exam is, and how long it lasts
  • Your seat number and candidate number in one place
  • What you are allowed to take into each paper
  • What to get ready the night before and on the day
  • Which exams are done as the period goes on

How to use it

  1. Fill in your name, candidate number, the exam period and who to contact with queries.
  2. Copy each exam from the official timetable in date order, including the paper and the venue.
  3. Add the seat number and permitted items as soon as they are published; check them against the official list, not memory.
  4. Pin the sheet up or save it in your browser, and tick each exam off once it is done.
  5. Run through the night-before and exam-day lists before every paper.

Formats

  • Printable PDF (A4 and US Letter)
  • Fillable PDF with form fields
  • Fill in online, saved in your browser

The printable is laid out inside a box that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the two files are identical and neither one is scaled. The fillable PDF has real form fields. The online version keeps what you enter in your own browser and builds the completed PDF on your device.

How to print

Download the A4 or US Letter file to match the paper in your printer, open it in a PDF reader and print at 100% — not "fit to page", which shrinks the writing space. Both files leave a 14 mm margin, which clears the unprintable edge on home printers. To print the online version with your entries in it, use the Print this sheet button, which prints only the sheet and none of the page around it. More on printing.

Questions

Is this the official timetable?

No. It is your own copy of it. Venues, times and seat numbers can change, so check the official timetable from your university or exam centre shortly before each paper and correct the sheet if anything has moved.

What goes in permitted items?

Whatever the exam rules allow for that paper: a type of calculator, a set text, a formula sheet, a dictionary. It differs by paper and institution, so copy it from the exam instructions rather than assuming.

Why a checklist for the night before?

Most things that go wrong on exam day are small: a missing ID card, a flat calculator battery, the wrong building. A short list run through the evening before catches them while there is still time to sort them out.

Can I add my revision plan to it?

This sheet is for the exams themselves. A separate revision timetable works better for planning study sessions, and keeps this page short enough to read at a glance.
