Who this is for

A weekend in a field, packed for. The last list is for copying the festival's own banned items.

Festival-goers camping for a weekend, and groups sharing tents and kit who need to agree who is bringing what.

What this helps you track

  • Tent, sleeping and camp kit, ticked as it is packed
  • Clothes and footwear for hot days, cold nights and rain
  • Food, drink and cooking kit if the site allows it
  • Tickets, wristband details, money and phone power
  • The festival's own banned list, copied out before you pack

How to use it

  1. Write the festival, the dates, who is in your group and your ticket or wristband details at the top.
  2. Copy the festival's list of banned items from its website onto the lines of the last list before you pack anything.
  3. Share out the group kit, such as the tent and stove, and write who is bringing it beside each item.
  4. Tick each item once it is packed, and check the banned list again as you close the bag.
  5. Take a photo of the finished sheet so the group has it on the day, or share the browser version.

Formats

  • Printable PDF (A4 and US Letter)
  • Fillable PDF with form fields
  • Fill in online, saved in your browser

The printable is laid out inside a box that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the two files are identical and neither one is scaled. The fillable PDF has real form fields. The online version keeps what you enter in your own browser and builds the completed PDF on your device.

How to print

Download the A4 or US Letter file to match the paper in your printer, open it in a PDF reader and print at 100% — not "fit to page", which shrinks the writing space. Both files leave a 14 mm margin, which clears the unprintable edge on home printers. To print the online version with your entries in it, use the Print this sheet button, which prints only the sheet and none of the page around it. More on printing.

Questions

Why is there a blank 'not allowed on site' list?

Because each festival sets its own rules on glass, gas, gazebos and the rest, and they change year to year. Copy them from the festival's own information so the list you pack against is the right one.

Can I bring a stove or food?

Some sites allow camping stoves and some do not. Check your festival's rules and cross out the cooking lines if they are not permitted.

How do we share kit in a group?

Write a name on the line beside each shared item, such as the tent, the stove and the mallet. That way every item has one owner and nothing is brought three times.

Is there space for my ticket details?

Yes, in the header. Write the booking or wristband reference there, and keep the sheet separate from the ticket itself.
