The same sheet, on screen. Totals and figures are worked out as you type, rows can be added or removed, and you can print it or download the completed version as a PDF. Everything stays in your browser — your entries are kept in this browser's own storage on this device, nothing is uploaded, and there is no account.

Who this is for

See what sells and what does not. Record the units of each product sold every month, and the tracker totals the units and revenue for each half of the year and brings them together in a year summary, so best sellers and slow lines stand out.

Makers with a range of products who want to decide what to make more of, what to reprice and what to drop, based on a year of their own sales.

What this helps you track

  • Units sold of each product in every month of the year
  • Units and revenue for each half year at your own prices
  • Each product's year total and average units a month
  • Best sellers and slowest items at a glance
  • Total units and revenue for the year

How to use it

  1. Write the year and your business name, then list your products in the same order in both half-year tables.
  2. Enter the price you sell each item at, in both tables.
  3. At the end of each month, write the units of each product sold, across every channel.
  4. Half-year units and revenue fill in by themselves in the browser and the workbook; on paper, add across each row.
  5. At the year end, copy each product's half-year units into the year summary to see its year total and revenue.
  6. Rank the products on the year summary to pick your best five and your slowest.

Formats

  • Printable PDF (A4 and US Letter)
  • Fillable PDF with form fields
  • Fill in online, saved in your browser
  • Excel / Google Sheets workbook

The printable is laid out inside a box that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the two files are identical and neither one is scaled. The fillable PDF has real form fields. The workbook uses plain formulas only — SUM, IF, COUNTIF and the like — so it opens in Excel, LibreOffice and Google Sheets without anything breaking, and every calculated cell is grey so you can see which figures it worked out.

How to print

Download the A4 or US Letter file to match the paper in your printer, open it in a PDF reader and print at 100% — not "fit to page", which shrinks the writing space. Both files leave a 14 mm margin, which clears the unprintable edge on home printers. To print the online version with your entries in it, use the Print this sheet button, which prints only the sheet and none of the page around it. More on printing.

Questions

Why is the year split into two tables?

Twelve months, a price and totals will not fit legibly across one page. Keep the products in the same order in both halves so the year summary lines up.

What price should I enter if it changed during the year?

Use the price that applied for most of the year, or split the product into two lines for before and after the change. The tracker only multiplies by the price you enter.

Should wholesale units be included?

Include them if you want the whole picture, but wholesale sells at a different price. A separate line for the wholesale version keeps the revenue accurate.

How do I spot items to drop?

Look at the lowest revenue on the year summary, then check the item's margin on your costing sheet. A slow seller with a good margin may be worth keeping; the tracker does not decide for you.
