The same sheet, on screen. Totals and figures are worked out as you type, rows can be added or removed, and you can print it or download the completed version as a PDF. Everything stays in your browser — your entries are kept in this browser's own storage on this device, nothing is uploaded, and there is no account.

Who this is for

Every site of the touring year on one log. Each stay gets a line for where it was, what kind of pitch, how many nights and what it cost, and the sheet keeps the running totals so the season's nights and site fees are there at the end without a hunt through booking emails.

Caravan, motorhome and campervan owners who tour through the season and want a record of where they went and what the sites cost, whether for their own interest or for working out what the van is costing them.

What this helps you track

  • Every site stayed at, with the region and the date you arrived
  • The type of pitch you had and how many nights you stayed
  • The pitch fee per night plus extras such as hook-up, awning or dog charges
  • Miles towed or driven to reach each site
  • Season totals for nights, site fees and the average paid per night

How to use it

  1. Write the van, the season and the owner at the top.
  2. Add a line on the day you arrive: date, site name, region and pitch type.
  3. Enter the nights stayed, the fee per night you were charged and any extras on the bill.
  4. Record the miles from the previous stop or from home, from the trip meter or your route.
  5. The stay total and the season summary are worked out in the browser and the workbook; on paper, multiply nights by the fee, add the extras and total down.
  6. Carry on to the second page as the season runs; the browser version saves in your own browser.

Formats

  • Printable PDF (A4 and US Letter)
  • Fillable PDF with form fields
  • Fill in online, saved in your browser
  • Excel / Google Sheets workbook

The printable is laid out inside a box that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the two files are identical and neither one is scaled. The fillable PDF has real form fields. The workbook uses plain formulas only — SUM, IF, COUNTIF and the like — so it opens in Excel, LibreOffice and Google Sheets without anything breaking, and every calculated cell is grey so you can see which figures it worked out.

How to print

Download the A4 or US Letter file to match the paper in your printer, open it in a PDF reader and print at 100% — not "fit to page", which shrinks the writing space. Both files leave a 14 mm margin, which clears the unprintable edge on home printers. To print the online version with your entries in it, use the Print this sheet button, which prints only the sheet and none of the page around it. More on printing.

Questions

What goes in the extras column?

Anything on the site bill that is not the basic pitch fee: an electric hook-up charge, an awning or extra-person charge, a dog fee or a one-off booking fee. Keeping them apart shows how much of the season's cost was the pitch itself.

How is the average fee per night worked out?

The season's total site fees, extras included, divided by the total nights stayed. It uses only the figures you have entered, so free or club-member nights you log at zero bring the average down as they should.

Should I log nights on a seasonal pitch or in storage?

This log is for touring stays. Seasonal pitch and storage charges are recurring fees, and the mooring and storage fee tracker is built for those, with due dates and payments.

Can I use it for a motorhome that is driven rather than towed?

Yes. The miles column simply records how far you travelled to reach each site, whatever is doing the pulling.
