How to use it

1. Write the florist, the date, the quote reference and your own flower budget at the top.
2. Go through each section, cross out the pieces you do not want and add any the list is missing on the blank rows.
3. Write how many of each piece and the flowers and colours you want, then take the list to the consultation.
4. When the proposal arrives, enter the price each for every line; the line, section and order totals are worked out in the browser and the workbook, and on paper you multiply and add.
5. Fill in delivery places and times and who takes each piece home, and give a copy to the venue and the florist.

The printable is laid out inside a box that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the two files are identical and neither one is scaled. The fillable PDF has real form fields. The workbook uses plain formulas only — SUM, IF, COUNTIF and the like — so it opens in Excel, LibreOffice and Google Sheets without anything breaking, and every calculated cell is grey so you can see which figures it worked out.

How to print

Download the A4 or US Letter file to match the paper in your printer, open it in a PDF reader and print at 100% — not "fit to page", which shrinks the writing space. Both files leave a 14 mm margin, which clears the unprintable edge on home printers. Questions

How many buttonholes or table centres do we need?

The sheet does not say, because it depends on your wedding party and your table plan. Count the people who will wear one, and take the number of tables from your seating plan.

How do I check the florist's quote with it?

Enter the price each from the quote against every line. If the sheet's total differs from the quote, a piece has been added, dropped or priced differently, and the line totals show which.

Can ceremony flowers be used again at the reception?

Often, if someone can move them between venues in time. Write the plan in the delivery column, and agree with the florist and both venues who moves them and when.

How is this different from the wedding budget planner?

The budget planner holds flowers as one line. This list breaks that line into every piece so the florist's figure can be checked; copy the order total back into the budget planner once it is agreed.
